The Divine message about marriage started in the beginning, at creation, and it echoed down through time as we see in the holy scriptures again and again. Here in the Book of Matthew, those guys were asking Jesus about divorce, and He gives an answer that goes above the question by defining marriage according to God's will and the divine order of creation. The answer shows us that true marriage is between one man and one woman, and that it is for life, unless the marriage covenant is broken by adultery. This is the standard. Anything outside of that is sin. After Jesus reminds us of the Divine definition of true marriage, or perhaps as part of that definition, He acknowledges the eunuch. In Matthew 19:12, Jesus says:
“ For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.”
If you understand eunuch as more of a station or designation, or maybe even in a metaphorical sense, it applies to females as well. Chastity makes one as a eunuch. Back when the West was Christian, monasticism flourished and there was an honored designation for those that did not want the married life or felt that they were not born for it. But this way of living has largely been forgotten in the post Christian West, and the life of service that was once exemplified in the monastic traditions has been replaced by something secular, selfishness and hedonistic. Looking back at some of the ancient paths might be beneficial for us all.

The Bible, it's not just some book of rules, but instead it describes reality, or the shape of the world. It has taken a longtime for God to open my eyes to seeing this.
"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them."
